Lollapalooza isn’t releasing its official schedule until sometime in June, but with a little Googling you can get a rough idea of which bands will play each day of the festival. When the initial lineup was announced, I assumed Radiohead would play the same role that Pearl Jam played last year and close out the festival Sunday night. They’re riding the wave of a great new album and haven’t been to town in more than two years. But according to Radiohead’s Web site, they’ll be playing Lollapalooza on Friday, Aug 1, making opening night a must.
Apparently, I’m not the only one who’s overly eager to see the lineup. Some genius on the Lollapalooza forum has visited every participating band’s official site and compiled a fairly thorough breakdown of all three days. Of course, this is unofficial and incomplete. Some of the major bands such as Wilco, Rage Against the Machine and Kanye West have yet to list a specific date. But here’s a look at how it’s shaping up.
